CHLA/ABSC Conference Invitation: June 15 – 18, 2018

Registration is now open for CHLA/ABSC 2018. This year’s conference will take place at the Sheraton Hotel in historic St. John’s, Newfoundland from June 15-18. Inspired by the title of a Newfoundland folk song, we invite participants to “rant and roar” about innovation, emerging roles, research, collaborations, and more.

For more information, please visit the conference website: https://www.chla-absc.ca/annual_conference.php

We hope to see you there!

Call for Presentations

We are currently seeking presentations for the NLHLA Annual Conference, which will take place this year on Friday, April 17, 2015.

Please consider putting together a presentation on a topic of your choice, whether it be a project from your workplace, your research, a current trend, or changes and challenges facing health libraries and librarians. Our conference does not have a theme—we’re interested in any and all topics that are of interest to you!

You may choose from the following formats:

  • Full presentations – a 20-minute presentation and 10 minutes for questions
  • Lightning Round presentations – a 5-10 minute presentation
The Lightning Round is ideal for introducing attendees to research or programs that are-in-progress, describing something you tried that didn’t work out, or getting feedback on an idea you’re mulling over.

Please send a brief abstract (1-2 paragraphs) to Kristen Romme (kromme@mun.ca) no later than Friday, March 20, 2015.

Save the Date!

The 2015 NLHLA Conference will be held in the McCann Room (Education Library, Memorial University) on Friday, April 17. A reminder that it’s never too early to start thinking about presentation topics!

More details to follow.
